Since then he has been a finalist at such leading competitions as Paloma O’Shea Santander Piano Competition and the Concours Clara Haskil (Vevey). In 2016 he recorded a solo programme of works by Liszt and Bartók for the French label Artalinna; a year later he gave his début at New York’s Merkin Hall, playing Liszt’s Second Piano Concerto. Recent highlights include solo appearances in Mozart’s Piano Concerto K 459 with the Musikkollegium Winterthur and Liszt’s Totentanz with the Sinfonieorchester Basel. In November 2018 he was awarded the Junior Prima (immer gleich), one of Hungary’s most prestigious cultural prizes. He completed a soloist’s diploma at Basel Academy of Music and received invaluable stimuli from András Schiff, Dimitri Bashkirov and Menahem Pressler.
