FRANCESCO GRANATA piano

In his debut with Venice’s La Fenice Orchestra, Milan-native Francesco Granata was described as possessing a “brilliant touch, appropriate sober accent, and simultaneously and most significantly, technical mastery that is always subservient to expression.” Francesco graduated from the Milan Conservatory in 2016 with the highest evaluation and a special mention, and in 2019, he completed a Master Course Diploma at St. Cecilia Academy in Rome while studying with Benedetto Lupo. Most recently, he earned an Artist Diploma at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music with Roberto Plano. At Indiana University he was an Assistant Instructor. Currently, he is pursuing a Master in Music Performance with Claudio Martinez Mehner, with also a Minor in Jazz, at Musik Akademie Basel.
He has performed solo recitals across Italy, India, and Europe. Resulting the winner of numerous piano competitions, in 2017, he won first prize at the Premio Venezia and, in 2021, was a Laureate at the Busoni Piano Competition, finalist at the Montreal Piano Competition and First Prize Winner of the MTNA Indiana Chapter competition.
